Experience
I have 32 years of experience teaching Spanish and French at the high school level. I love languages, and I've had the privilege to share my love of languages with everyone from junior high students to college students. Along the way, I've acquired a lot of tutoring experience as well. I've been able to tutor French to students of all ages, and I've tutored many other topics as well. These include English, Spanish, phonics and reading, study skills and organization, history, writing, essay writing and editing, social studies, and others. I attended the University of Illinois to earn my bachelor's degree in French and a teaching certificate. I also earned a Spanish minor. I then went on to Governors State University to earn my master's degree in media communication, also acquiring coursework in social studies, sociology, psychology, and education. I've also been a member of the Lions Club, giving me the opportunity to work with youth as part of community service projects. I love working with youth to help them learn and expand the boundaries, and I appreciate the uniqueness of each student and each tutoring experience.
